iPhone 16 Pro With A18 Chip: A Performance Beast on Par with Apple’s M1

iPhone 16 Pro Max vs. iPhone 15 Pro Max and Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra: A New Benchmark Leader

Apple’s iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max, launched globally including India, are powered by the latest A18 Pro chip, making them some of the most powerful smartphones in the market. According to Geekbench, this new chipset significantly outperforms its predecessor, the iPhone 15 Pro Max, and surpasses the Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra, the leader among Android devices.

The iPhone 16 Pro Max (iPhone 17,2 on Geekbench) has set new benchmarks, scoring 3,409 points in single-core and 8,492 points in multi-core tests. By comparison, the iPhone 15 Pro Max recorded lower scores, and the Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra, with its Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset, achieved 2,145 single-core and 6,701 multi-core scores.

A18 Pro vs. M1 Chip: Desktop-Class Power on a Smartphone

What’s particularly impressive is that the iPhone 16 Pro Max’s A18 Pro chipset rivals Apple’s desktop-class M1 processor found in the MacBook Air, demonstrating that mobile and desktop performance are converging. While Apple has set the bar high, the upcoming Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 from Qualcomm could introduce new competition in the near future.
